1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VelisMail ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If
you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
2. Service Description
VelisMail provides an end-to-end encrypted email service. The Service includes:
Encrypted email messaging between VelisMail users
RSA key pair generation and management
Encrypted file attachments
Self-destructing messages
Contact management
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining
the confidentiality of your password.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Do not share your password with others
Use a strong, unique password
⚠️ Important: Due to end-to-end encryption, we cannot recover your account if you forget
your password. Your password is used to encrypt your private key.
3.3 Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use VelisMail. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this
requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use VelisMail only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:
Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
Respect the rights and privacy of other users
Not interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
5. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use VelisMail to:

❌ Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code

❌ Harass, threaten, or abuse others
❌ Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
❌ Violate intellectual property rights

❌ Attempt to decrypt other users' messages
❌ Attack or probe our systems
❌ Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
6. Encryption Notice
By using VelisMail, you acknowledge that:
Messages are encrypted on your device before transmission
We cannot access or read your encrypted messages
We cannot recover lost passwords or private keys
You are responsible for managing your encryption keys
Encryption may be restricted in some jurisdictions
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
Store your encrypted content on our servers
Transmit messages to intended recipients
Provide the Service as described
We do not claim ownership of your encrypted content and cannot access it.
8. Intellectual Property
VelisMail and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by VelisMail and protected by
international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Termination
9.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the settings. All your data will be
permanently removed within 30 days.
9.2 By Us
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:
Breach these Terms
Engage in prohibited activities
Violate applicable laws
Create risk or legal exposure for us
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VELISMAIL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Loss of profits, data, or other intangibles
Unauthorized access to your transmissions
Interruption of service
Bugs, viruses, or other harmful components
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VelisMail and its officers, directors, employees, and
agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which
VelisMail operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by:
