VelisMail respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for handling copyright infringement claims.

1. Important Notice

Due to End-to-End Encryption: VelisMail cannot access, view, or review the contents of encrypted messages. We have no way of knowing what content users are transmitting. This policy applies to publicly accessible content only.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement, please provide our DMCA Agent with the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information to locate the material
  4. Your contact information (address, telephone number, email)
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature

  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of federal court

5. Repeat Infringers

VelisMail will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

6. False Claims

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability.

7. Modifications

VelisMail reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page.
